Parking Strategy for The #PhoenixPark survey – Deadline looming!

The Office of Public Works (OPW) has, in recent weeks, engaged SYSTRA Ltd (SYSTRA) to develop a Parking Strategy for the Phoenix Park.
The undertaking of a Parking Strategy was one of the key recommendations of the Phoenix Park Transport & Mobility Study (2021). The Parking Strategy will consider both vehicular and cycle parking within the boundary of the Phoenix Park, as well as any potential impacts on the immediate surrounding areas. For information, the term cycle above is used to refer to all types of bicycles, cargo bikes and adapted cycles. The Strategy will also address the needs of those with mobility issues and their parking requirements.
The OPW, I understand, is looking to gather the views of local residents, community groups, public representatives and those who frequently use the Phoenix Park with regards car and cycle parking and any associated issues and opportunities and the preparation of the draft Parking Strategy over the coming months. At present, views are being sought through the completion of an online survey, which is available at https://www.systra.ie/phoenix-park-survey.
The deadline for you to complete the survey Is Friday, July 8th next.
I would strongly urge you to complete the survey and detail you views to the OPW with regards securing an appropriate and effective parking strategy for the Phoenix Park. I would also be happy to answer any questions or queries you may have about the preparation of such a parking strategy. Please email them to RayMcAdam@gmail.com.
