City Council Choice Based Lettings opportunity

As Chair of the Dublin Central Area Committee, I have been determined to ensure that a scheme of Choice Based Lettings be implemented by the Housing Offices of Dublin City Council located within the North Inner City.
In October, 11 vacant units in Fitzgibbon Court, Liberty House and Courtney Place were allocated through Choice Based Lettings. There was a massive demand for these homes, notably the one bedroom units, with more than 600 applications submitted. Each of the properties were allocated to applicants from different waiting lists, including from those living locally.
I am a huge supporter of Choice Based Lettings because there are those housing applicants who would make fine tenants but stand little chance of receiving an offer of accommodation in the short to medium term.
With that in mind, the Parnell Street Area Housing Office has recently advertised properties in St. Michan’s House on Greek Street and Rory O’Connor House on Hardwicke Street for possible allocation through Choice Based Lettings.

Dublin City Council is inviting applicants from all our waiting lists who have selected Area P on their area of preference to express an interest in a 2x bed unit in Saint Michan’s House, D7.
Expressions of interest are now being invited for these 4 x 2 bed units which will be available for letting in January / February 2022.

Dublin City Council is inviting applicants from all our waiting lists who have selected Area H on their area of preference to express an interest in a 2 bed or 3 bed unit in Rory O’Connor House, D1.
Expressions of interest are now being invited for these 2 x 2 bed units + 2 x 3 bed unit which will be available for letting in January / February 2022.
