#NorthInnerCity Housing Update – Choice Based Lettings

Dublin City Council is continuing to make more homes available for allocation through the scheme of Choice Based Lettings.

When I was Chair of the Dublin Central Area Committee between 2021 and 2023, I worked with officials to ensure that Choice Based Lettings were re-introduced in the North Inner City. Since it has been so many houses and flats that would have taken ages to allocate have been become homes to many individuals and families.

At present, there are 18 properties available across the North Inner City being advertised by Dublin City Council. If you are on the City Council’s Housing List and have included Area P or Area H on your application, you can also apply for these properties, which include:

• 3x 2-bedroom apartments in Blackhall Parade / Queen Street
• 1x 2-bedroom apartment in Chancery House, Charles Street West
• 4x 2-bedroom apartments in Dominick Street Upper
• 1x 2-bedroom apartment in Sheridan Court, Dorset Street
• 1x 2-bedroom apartment in Wolfe Tone Close

The deadline for you to submit an application for these ten properties is Friday, November 3^rd at 5pm.

A further eight properties are being advertised for anyone who has applied for housing with Dublin City Council and has included Area H in their application. These potential new homes are:

• 1x 1-bedroom apartment in Avondale House, off Cumberland Street
• 1x 1-bedroom house along Ferryman’s Crossing, off Seville Place
• 1x 2-bedroom apartment in Fitzgibbon Court, Fitzgibbon Street
• 1x 1-bedroom flat in Gardiner Street
• 1x 3-bedroom apartment in James Larkin House, North Strand Road
• 1x 2-bedroom apartment in Kenmare House, North Great George’s Street
• 1x 1-bedroom apartment in Liberty House, off Railway Street
• 1x 1-bedroom apartment in O’Brien Hall, Gardiner Street

The deadline for you to submit your application for these properties is Friday, November 10^th at 5pm.
