New pedestrian crossings to be installed across #DublinCentral

Dublin City Council has identified areas across the city where new pedestrian crossings were necessary in order to improve road safety, especially from a pedestrian perspective.
I recently sought clarity from Senior Transportation Executive Engineer as to the new pedestrian crossings to be installed across Dublin Central. I also requested clarity as to the location of these crossings and an indicative timeframe for their installation. The Executive Engineer confirmed that four new pedestrian crossings will be installed at the following locations:
SITE NAME | AREA | WORKS DESCRIPTION |
BALLYBOGGAN ROAD | CENTRAL | PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS |
MARYS LANE | CENTRAL | PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS |
PORTLAND ROW / NCR | CENTRAL | PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS |
CUMBERLAND ST. NORTH / PARNELL ST. | CENTRAL | PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS |
It is my expectation that construction work associated with the installation of these pedestrian crossings will take place after Easter next year.
I hope this information is of assistance to you. Please email me at RayMcAdam@gmail.com if you have any specific questions or queries arising from the details outlined above.
