Protecting Luke Kelly statue

I’m in a position to confirm that additional CCTV has been installed along Guild Street to monitor activity in and around the statue of Luke Kelly.
New cameras have been installed on the existing camera pole and is focused permanently on the Luke Kelly statue. Officials in Dublin City Council have confirmed to me that an order has been placed for a flood light that will light up the area around the statue.
The Chief Executive has assured me that the flood light will be fitted as soon as it is delivered.
This is welcome news and I hope these measures will help to better protect Luke from any further attacks.
Please get in touch with me if you have any questions or queries about the details above.
