CONFIRMED: Shamrock Terrace Recycling Centre services to be “retained in their entirety”

Over the last six months, I have been working to ensure the Shamrock Terrace Civic Amenity remains open, given so many households in the North Inner City rely on it to dispose of rubbish and to recycle cardboard, plastic and other materials.
As Chair of the Dublin Central Area Committee of Dublin City Council and as your local Councillor, I am pleased to confirm that existing recycling services are to be fully retained at the Shamrock Terrace Recycling Centre.
This decision reflects the huge support within the North Strand for this important civic amenity and how it is used by so many across the area. As a Councillor, I am sorry there has been such uncertainty. If only the Chief Executive, Owen Keegan could have listened to the views and concerns raised by myself on your behalf as well as those highlighted by Councillors, we could have avoided such a scenario. It highlights yet another reason why it is that I believe Owen Keegan should consider his position as Chief Executive of Dublin City Council.
I hope this information meets with your satisfaction but please come back to me if you have any further questions or queries arising from the details outlined above.
