#NorthInnerCity Traffic & Works Update -February 12th

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES:

Dominick Place, Dublin 1`:
• Dominick Place (from Dominick Place to Dominick St Lower) Dublin 1 from 00.00hrs on Saturday 15th January 2022 to 24.00hrs on Monday 14th February 2022.
• Closed to facilitate the installation of drainage works and road re-surfacing.
• Pedestrian and local access to be maintained.

North Circular Road, Dublin 1:
• Closed (from Portland Street North to Junction of Russell Street and Fitzgibbon Street), Dublin 1 from 06.00hrs to 20.00hrs on Sunday 13th February 2022.
• Closed to facilitate the removal of a tower crane from site.
• Pedestrian access to closed section of North Circular Road will be facilitated through south footpath only.
• Local Access will be provided to North Circular Road and adjoining roads between its junction with Belvedere Place and with Portland Street North.
• Diversion for motorists wishing to cross North Circular Road from Belvedere Place towards Russell Street/Fitzgibbon Street junction will lead via Belvedere Place and onto Fitzgibbon Street up to its junction with North Circular Road.

• Two diversion routes will be in place for motorists wishing to cross North Circular Road from Junction of Russell Street and Fitzgibbon Street towards Portland Street North.

• First diversion would start in north direction through Russel Street, Jones’ Road, onto Clonliffe Road, Drumcondra Road Lower, Dorset Street Lower and onto Belvedere Road up to its junction with North Circular Road
• Second diversion would lead through Fitzgibbon Street and onto Belvedere Place up to its junction with North Circular Road.

Beresford Place from under railway bridge to Gardiner Street Lower junction:

Works involved: Removal of Cobble from Central median between the road and the Luas line.

Date of Works: 12th & 13th February         

Contractor involved: MCD Landscapes Ltd

Dorset Street Lower, between the Eccles Street and Gardiner Street junctions:

Works involved: Sewer surveying.

Date of Works: 14^th February, 7pm – 5am.

Contractor involved: Irish Water / GMC Utilities

Dublin Port Tunnel:

Works Involved: Full closure

Date of Works: 14th – 18th Feb, 22:00- 05:00 hrs

North King Street at Lisburn Court apartments:

Works Involved:  Watermains repairs.

Date of Works: 12^th February

Contractor Involved: GMC Utilities.

1A Little Green Street:

Works Involved: Reinstatement works.

Date of Works: 12^th February.

Contractor Involved: ESB / Richard Nolan Civil Engineering.

New Wapping Street:

Works Involved: Installation of sewer.

Date of Works: 12^th February.

Contractor Involved: Irish Water / GMC Utilities.

529 North Circular Road:

Works Involved: Reinstating works.

Date of Works: Reinstatement works.

Contractor Involved: ESB / Richard Nolan Civil Engineering.

North Strand Road /Charleville Mall at the Royal Canal:

Works Involved: Placement of mobile crane to facilitate removal & replacement of gates.

Date of Works: On-going until February 28^th.

Contractor Involved: Waterways Ireland.

38 North Strand Road:

Works Involved: Cut off Service Pipe.

Date of Works: 12th February.

Contractor Involved: Gas Networks Ireland / GMC Utilities.

Ostman Place:

Works Involved: Build 8 Tree Pits on road verge, removal of 8 car spaces

Date of Works: 15^th – 18^th February.
