Grangegorman Public Information Meeting – TU Dublin Academic Hub & Library

Officials in the Grangegorman Development Agency have informed me that they are hosting an in-person Public Information Evening about the TU Dublin Academic Hub and Library which construction work will shortly begin.

The Public Information session will take place this Thursday, February 10^th between 3pm and 7pm on the Fourth Floor of Park House along the North Circular Road.

This project will form the ‘Academic Heart’ of the Grangegorman site as envisaged in the Grangegorman Masterplan adopted by Dublin City Council in 2009. The building has been designed as a cluster of connected spaces gathered sensitively around the historic North House to provide a centralised library for the TU Dublin City Campus. The multi-disciplined design team is led by the award-winning O’Donnell + Tuomey Architects.

It is my understanding that the construction contractor for phase 1 of this project, comprising c. 12,500sqm, is OHL Townlink Joint Venture Ltd will start on site in the coming weeks. Part of the initial works will involve rerouting the public pathway in this area.

The GDA has confirmed that Covid-19 safeguards will apply so please wear a mask if you are planning to attend. Attendees will also be asked to sign-in and provide contact details for the purposes of contact tracing.
