Utilising unused public toilets building on Infirmary Road

Dublin City Council is contacting the Office of Public Works to establish what the long-term plans are for the unused public toilets along Infirmary Road beside the 46 Dublin Bus stop.

Suggestions have been made with regards to the possible re-opening of the toilets and whether the building could be refurbished for future use as a café. Given the proximity of this building to the Peoples’ Garden playground, such potential use of the toilet building could be considered.

I have sought an update, myself, from the Office of Public Works to secure its latest thinking on the matter and will share that information when it is available to me.

In the interim, I’d welcome your thoughts and any ideas you may have about how these unused buildings could be brought back into use. Email me your suggestions to RayMcAdam@gmail.com.
