Halloween Programme 2021 – North West Inner City

Earlier this month, I secured agreement from my North Inner City Councillor colleagues to reallocate €15,000 in funding for Halloween events and community organised projects in the north-west inner city.
The purpose of this initiative was to ensure that similar events occurring in Ballybough, North Wall and Sean McDermott Street, for example, would take place in the Markets, Stoneybatter and Montpelier areas of the North Inner City. I am pleased to report that this money has been allocated to support events being organised by local communities and individual residents associations.
Some of the areas where events being supported as a result of my efforts, include:
⁃ Kevin Barry House:
⁃ St. Michan’s House, Greek Street:
⁃ Blackhall, Marmion Court and Queen Street:
⁃ Chancery House, Charles Street West:
⁃ Bradóg Youth Service:
⁃ Dominick Street Play Centre:
⁃ Hardwicke Street Play Centre:
⁃ Montpelier Drive, Montpelier Park, Drumalee and across Stoneybatter.
To everyone taking part in these events, or planning to be out trick or treating, I hope you all have a great time and that there’s many a yeasty sweat or two to be had!
Happy Halloween!
