Time to re-establish O’Devaney Gardens Regen Board
Given that Dublin City Council has now agreed the objectives for the redevelopment of O Devaney Gardens, we need to begin the process of formally consultations remaining tenants and local residents as to how they want to see the redevelopment advanced. The first step in that process, I believe, is the reconstituting of the O Devaney Gardens Regeneration Board.
As a member of the Regeneration Board, I believe, it is essential that the representatives of the remaining residents in O’Devaney Gardens, representatives from the local community and State Agencies meet in the coming days to initiate the process of engaging the communities living in the vicinity of O’Devaney Gardens to talk about how the redevelopment is advanced.
With that in mind, today, I wrote to Brendan Kenny, Deputy Chief Executive of Dublin City Council with responsibility for Housing requesting that the Regeneration Board be re-called within the next fortnight.
I have attached below a copy of the correspondence sent to Mr. Kenny for your information.
