About Ray

Ray serves as Chair of Dublin City Council’s Protocol Committee and is the Leader of the Fine Gael party on Dublin City Council.

Ray also is a member of the City Council’s Mobility & Public Realm Strategic Policy Committee as well as the Housing Strategic Policy Committee.

Within the North Inner City, Ray is co-Chair of the O’Devaney Gardens Redevelopment Community Consultative Forum and has served in the role since 2017. Ray serves as a Board member of the Grangegorman Development Agency, following his re-election to Dublin City Council in June 2024. Ray, has once again been appointed to the Board of Dublin Town, a role he previously held between 2009 and 2014.

Ray has extensive experience serving in a variety of roles and committees throughout his team as a City Councillor for the North Inner City, including:

Ray was re-elected to serve the communities of the North Inner City on Dublin City Council with a platform of 5 KEY PRIORITIES:

• SAFER, STRONGER COMMUNITIES, where Community Gardaí are more visible in our neighbourhoods and public spaces, to deter those engaging in anti-social behaviour.
• BUILDING NEW & BETTER HOMES, so that those families who want to live in the North Inner City have the opportunity to do so.
• DELIVERING A CLEANER, GREENER DUBLIN, where CCTV is in place to pro-actively target illegal dumpers and that Dublin City Council plants one million new trees by 2030.
• BALANCED DEVELOPMENT ACROSS THE NORTH INNER CITY, that will deliver more housing, better job opportunities and extra community and recreational amenities.
• REVITALISING OUR CITY CENTRE, by improving our street-scape, tackling dereliction and backing City Centre businesses.
