Dublin City Centre Highlights include
Capel Street Brigit Parade
A major highlight of this year’s programme is the Brigit 2026 Parade on Capel Street, taking place on Sunday 1 February at 15:30. Beginning at the top of Capel Street, this vibrant procession will feature dancers, walkers, roller skaters, “Brigits on Bikes,” and more, creating a colourful celebration of women’s strength, resilience and creativity. Rooted in themes of renewal, community and connection, the parade promises an energetic and inclusive spectacle for all ages.
Illuminating the GPO
The façade of the GPO on O’Connell Street will transform each evening with specially commissioned visual projections celebrating Brigit’s associations with light, creativity and renewal. This striking installation is one of the festival’s signature city‑centre moments.
Women’s History Walking Tours
Guided tours will highlight women’s influence on the cultural, political and architectural fabric of Dublin, including the Rebels & Revolutionaries Tour and Women’s Lives Hidden in Buildings, both departing from
Imbolc Fair
Returning for its fourth year, the Imbolc Fair transforms Meeting House Square into a lively gathering place to welcome spring and honour the enduring spirit of the Celtic goddess Brigit. A lively public event featuring food, crafts and cultural activities marking the beginning of spring, held in the heart of the city.
