#BikeBunkers Update – June 2025

For many years now, I have been advocating, as your City Councillor, for Dublin City Council to advance an effective Bike Bunkers project.
I am pleased to report that progress is now being made by the Road Safety and Micro Mobility Section of the Council will shortly appoint a tenderer to manage and operate the Bike Bunkers initiative. I expect the new operator to be approved by Dublin City Council by the end of September. The objective will be to deliver as many as 300 bicycle storage units city-wide. As your voice on Dublin City Council, I will be endeavouring to secure as many Bike Bunkers across the North Inner City as quickly as possible and will work to keep you updated on progress with this scheme.
If you have any specific questions or queries arising from the details outline above or anything further about the Bike Bunkers scheme, please email me or contact me through any of my social media channels.
