Affordable Purchase Homes – Montpelier, Dublin 7

Dublin City Council has today launched details of its Affordable Purchase Scheme, which includes 66 new apartments for sale, at the new Montpelier development. The first offering of homes in Phase One consists of 44 one-bedroom and 22 two-bedroom homes. These homes will be available for occupation in February 2026.
Applications for the affordable purchase homes can only be submitted through our online application portal – https://affordablehomes.dublincity.ie/. The portal will open for applications at 12pm on Wednesday 11th June 2025 and will close at 12pm on Wednesday 2nd July 2025. Applicants should register for an account in advance of the opening date.
We recommend that all interested applicants review our FAQs and our Documentation Checklist to ensure they have all the required information prior to the portal opening in June
Show homes will be available to view from the 17thof May 2025. Anyone interested in visiting the site should register their interest at https://montpelierdublin.ie.
The price information and income thresholds for the homes are as follows:

*Applicants on incomes less than the above are still welcome to apply but may need to make up a shortfall in their funding.

Property listings will be placed on Daft.ie, MyHome.ie and the national affordable homes website, AffordableHomes.ie and we will be running a social media campaign over the coming weeks.

In accordance with our Scheme of Priority, 70% of the homes will be allocated on a first come first served basis with the remaining 30% allocated via a lottery to applicants who have been, or are currently, a resident in the administrative area of Dublin City Council for a minimum continuous period of 3 years.
