Summerhill GP Care For All services secured.

I warmly welcome the agreement reached between the Department of Health, the HSE, and the GP Care for All team at Summerhill Primary Care Centre. This outcome secures the future of an essential community-based healthcare service for the people of the North East Inner City.

This resolution is the result of intensive and constructive engagement — driven by goodwill, determination, and a shared belief in the value of the primary care model. I want to commend Minister Paschal Donohoe, Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, and the HSE for their leadership in ensuring a sustainable solution that supports both the service and the professionals who deliver it.

Above all, I want to sincerely thank the GP Care for All team for their unwavering commitment to the communities of the North Inner City. Their work is grounded in care, dignity, and deep community connection — values that have earned them the trust and respect of the people they serve.

Nearly ten years ago, I was proud to work with Paschal to help deliver the Summerhill Primary Care Centre. It was built on a vision of healthcare rooted in community, accessibility, and dignity. Today’s announcement protects that vision and sends a strong signal of confidence in the people, practitioners, and neighbourhoods of the North East Inner City.
