Sean McDermott Street swimming pool: LATEST!

This morning, City Council officials confirmed in writing with information I circulated across the North Inner City last night.
The Director of Operations for Swim Ireland who manage the swimming pool on behalf of Dublin City Council confirmed that the boiler in the pool has broken down. Contractors came out yesterday afternoon to investigate the issue and unfortunately have informed Swim Ireland that the boiler is beyond repair.
Dublin City Council is very much aware that the pool is a very important amenity to the area, and will immediately begin seeking quotes from contractors to purchase, install, and commission a new boiler.
Once a contractor is appointed I hope to be in a position to give you a date as to when the new boiler will be installed and the pool can re-open.
Please keep an eye out for updates on my various social media channels on this issue.
