Phoenix Park concert licence application lodged

Dublin City Council’s Outdoor Event Licencing Section confirmed to me today that it received an application on behalf of Aiken Promotions (Ireland) for an Outdoor Event licence to hold concerts in the Phoenix Park this summer.

This licence application comprises of up to three outdoor concerts to be held in the Phoenix Park between the 20th – 22nd June 2025.

Further details will be uploaded shortly onto the Dublin City Council’s planning portal, which you can access here – https://planning.agileapplications.ie/dublincity. I have attached below a drawing which highlights the proposed location of the concert area for ease of reference.

APPLICATION FOR OUTDOOR EVENT LICENCE

REF: OEL 04/2025

Event: Three Outdoor Concerts in the Phoenix Park

Dates: 20th, 21st & 22nd of June 2025.

For the purposes of this specific application, Eamon O’Boyle and Associates is applying to Dublin City Council on behalf of Aiken Promotions (Ireland) for an Outdoor Event licence to hold an event(s), comprising of public entertainment in accordance with part XVI of the Planning and Development Act 2000 and regulations 2001 (as amended).

This licence application comprises of up to three outdoor concerts to be held in the Phoenix Park between the 20th – 22nd June 2025:

The promoter of the concert under this licence application OEL 04/2025 is Aiken Promotions (Ireland).

The artist is internationally renowned and reflects the potential of Phoenix Park as a quality location for concert performances. The concerts will take place from 17:00pm – 23:00pm.

All works will be undertaken between 08:00 and 22:00hrs daily with the exception of show days when works will take place until 03:00hrs. Liaison between the Statutory Agencies will be undertaken to advise on access during construction.

* In the interest of safety the Promoter in consultation with An Garda Síochána will reserve the right to open the gates earlier than the advertised time.

Plans will continue to be developed for Health and Safety, Communications, Emergencies, Traffic Management, Production, Access/Egress, Transport, Environmental and Community etc.

The application for licence relating to the concert as outlined above can be viewed and inspected at Dublin City Council’s planning public counter, Block 4, Ground Floor, Civic Offices, by appointment during office hours (09:00 – 16:30hrs). Article 190 (Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended in 2015) states that (1) Any person may make a submission or observation in writing to the local authority in respect of an application within 3 weeks of the receipt of the application by the local authority. (2) A submission or observation under sub-article (1) shall not be considered by the local authority unless it— (i) states the name of the person or organisation making the submission or observation, and (ii) indicates the residential or business address to which any correspondence relating to the application should be sent.
