Keeping you updated on the O’Devaney Gardens redevelopment project

Every month, I co-Chair the O’Devaney Gardens Community Consultative Forum. The body monitors progress on the construction phase of the O’Devaney redevelopment project and ensures that where issues take place, they can be tackled quickly.

Earlier this month, I sought a 6 month look ahead to the works planned on site, as a means of keeping residents in the Stoneybatter, Montpelier, Infirmary Road and Arbour Hill neighbourhoods updated.

Six month Look ahead to July 2025 – Phase 1

Block 2:
The contractor is currently well progressed with façade works and internal fit out. Our goal is to complete the façade and dismantle Tower Crane TC1 by early February 2025. By June 2025, it is anticipated the contractor will be at an advanced stage of the internal snagging stage.

Block 5:
The contractor aims to complete all precast work on Block 5D by March 2025. Internal works have commenced on Block 5A and Block 5B. Façade works are also progressing on Block 5A. Façade works will be well advanced on Block 5A, followed by progress on Blocks 5B, 5C, and 5D. Internal fit out works will also be underway across the apartments.

Block 4 (Houses):
The framing works are completed, and we are progressing with the external block work. Afterwards, the contractor will proceed with façade and internal works across the houses. By July 2025, they anticipate being at an advanced stage of the internal works and commenced the external landscaping works.

Six-month Look ahead to July 2025 – Phase 2

Block 6 and Block 10:
Precast structure works have commenced on Block 6 and are planned to commence in Block 10 by early February 2025. They aim to complete Structure of Block 06 in July and reach Level 6 (of 12) on Block 10. The contractor will also have commenced the Façade and internal works in Block 6.

Block 9:
The contractor plans to erect two tower cranes (TC7 and TC8) with Substructure works well progressed.
