Clonliffe & Ballybough Matters – May 2024
INVITATION TO CONSULTATION SESSION
ORCHARD ROAD DEPOT REDEVELOPMENT PLAN
Monday, May 20th
5pm – 7pm
Barbara Ward Centre, Distillery Road, Dublin 3.

As YOUR local City Councillor, I have worked to update you over the last five years about the City Council plans to redevelop the Orchard Road Depot for new senior citizens’ housing. In March, I advised you that a full redesign of the project was nearing completion and that this was because of changes made in the Dublin City Development Plan 2022 – 2028.
On foot of that update, I am writing to confirm that Dublin City Council and FOLD Housing have organised a community engagement session to inform you of changes to the initial scheme design and to display images of the new scheme and answer any questions they may have. The session will be held in the Barbara Ward Centre from 5pm to 7pm on Monday 20th May.
Representatives from Reddy Architecture will be there on the night, as well as the FOLD Housing management team who will be able to answer questions around tenanting and management etc.
Given the importance of this development and how it may impact the area, I wanted to make sure you were aware of this consultative session and that you have an opportunity to share your feedback on the revised proposals.
I look forward to seeing you on Monday evening.
