STONEYBATTER PLANNING MATTERS – December 2023

As YOUR local Councillor, I strive to update you on development projects that could impact our community in Stoneybatter. With that in mind, I write to share with you details of a possible Large Scale Residential Development planning proposal along Prussia Street.

PRUSSIA STREET DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL

I am advised by officials in the Planning Department of Dublin City Council pre-planning consultations have taken place between Dublin City Council planners and Lyonshall Ltd to demolish the existing buildings between 57 and 61 Prussia Street to build a 373-bedspace student accommodation scheme. While no formal application has yet been submitted, I understand the proposal relates to the development of two building blocks, ranging in height of between four and five storeys.

At present, no further information is available. Documentation supporting the proposal will only be available to the public when a formal planning application is lodged with Dublin City Council.
