NORTH STRAND MATTERS
Has your home been affected by poor water pressure?

Householders across the North Strand have been reporting a lack of pressure in their water supply or poor level of supply.
These issues have been raised with me since the middle of August. I have been following up on the issue and from my engagement with the City Council and Irish Water it appears that the pressure issue appears to have developed on foot of the general water-main upgrade works that took place around the 20th of July. A new connection was installed up to the top of Ossory Road and Irish Water are checking to see whether there is an issue arising from the adjustments that were made as part of this installation process.
I spoke with officials from Irish Water on Monday, and they are continuing to investigate the situation. However, given that households are experiencing a reduced water pressure in their supply, I am trying to identify how many more streets might be affected in order to ensure Irish Water can rectify the situation as quickly and as effectively as possible.
Given the volume of queries that have been raised with me in respect of this issue, I wanted to make you aware of a potential problem but also seek your feedback as to whether you have been experiencing a similar issue.
Thank you, as ever, for engaging with me and please do let me know if your water supply is suffering from low pressure and therefore not what it should be. Please email me at RayMcAdam@gmail.com.
