U2 Croke Park concert -July 22nd next

The Community Liaison Officer with Croke Park, Julianne Savage emailed me this morning to advise of the planned U2 concert in Croke Park on Saturday July 22nd next.

The email provided details of the ticketing arrangements and when they are due to go on sale. I subsequently sought information from Ms. Savage confirming that the relevant licensing process has been entered into and if any additional concerts are planned for the weekend of July 22 next.

Croke Park officials have reverted back to me confirming that this concert comes under it’s existing 3 concert license with Dublin City Council. In addition to this, there was a meeting last week with DCC, the concert promoter, Croke
Park and statutory bodies in advance of this morning’s announcement. Furthermore, I was advised that U2 may play a second concert that weekend.

As and when I have additional information from Croke Park or Dublin City Council, I will make sure to share those details with local residents.
